The Home accepts mild and severe mentally challenged children and youth. In the Home there is a section where newly arrived children are checked in and evaluated concerning their abilities as well as their degree of disability. These newly arrived children have here - during their stay in this group - the opportunity to get used to the Home and to accommodate themselves. The duration of their stay in this group is from 3 to 6 months. Necessary documents for reception are: request with information about expenses, maternity leave, findings of commission and psychologist, social anamnesis, report of neuropsychiatrist, three photographs and social security booklet. Social worker is responsible for reception process: children stay in observation group, youth stay in suitable work group on further observation.

The residents are accommodated in three pavilions (separated buildings), according to sex, capability and age. Smallest pavilion accommodates children. It has two floors, many collective bedrooms and bathrooms. Children are divided into eight different groups. During their stay in this group, defectologists prepare children according to plans and programs of School of Defectology, Belgrade University. Nurses focus this children on self-help (basic hygiene, dressing, eating). Into men's and women's pavilion, residents are directed after 15 years of age. Men's pavilion is bigger, eight pedagogic groups (according to capability and age). In women's pavilion there are four pedagogic groups. Men's pavilion has three floors and recently is restored. Residents are accommodated in two bedded rooms with collective bathrooms. Women's pavilion has two floors and currently is in the process of restoration.
