Home for mentally challenged children and youth is unique in so many ways, composed of professionals from all disciplines and types
of activity supporting persons with intellectual disabilities. The Home has miles to go and we earnestly feel and wish to go further in
rehabilitating more such hapless children and youth in a more comprehensive manner.
Short term plans:
- a small residential group home, fully equipped for the mentally challenged,
- to integrate the youth within society,
- consolidation of existing activities of the Home,
- intensive employee training through networking and exposure to other organizations and methods of work,
- support to parents, motivation of parents for greater involvement, counselling/guidance,
- conduct regular programs for parents and develop trainers with them,
- obuka roditelja za rad sa osobama ometenim u razvoju.
Long term plans:
- focus on financial independence and self-reliance by building up a corpus fund, through a series of fund-raising activities,
- network with other groups to conduct awareness among general public about the need to actively integrate mentally challenged persons into the society,
- advocate for special provisions for mentally challenged persons into the spheres of education, health and employment.
