The philosophy of the Home regarding employee selection is: "The quality of care begins and ends with the quality of staff". Here at the Home
we recognize that the quality of our service delivery is in the hands of those providing direct support. Therefore, our goal is to equip our staff
with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their positions. We also strive to interject compassion and sensitize our employees with the
trials and struggles associated with mentally challenged. Training and close supervision are the main methods for developing quality.
At the very beginning the Home had 23 employees, but today there are 135 employed on alternating shifts. In direct contact with children are
22 defectologist, logoped, 10 work instructors, psychologist, 3 doctors, 32 nurses and physiotherapist. Daily tasks for the rest of employees are
related to other units: farm, bakery, storehouse, bookkeeping, ... These various professionals maintain the Home daily activities and at the same
time - through their service and personality - being an integrated part of the children's and young people's socialization process.
