Doctors of the World is the autonomous U.S. affiliate of Médecins du Monde, the French health and human rights organization. Doctors of the World is part of an international network, comprising twelve independent
delegations around the globe, whose aim is to provide the world's most vulnerable populations with medical assistance. They are dedicated to creating sustainable programs that promote and protect health and human
rights in the United States and abroad.
Doctors of the World, as a nonprofit organization relies on the support of individuals, foundations, governments and corporations. Major contributors include: the United States Agency for International Development
(USAID), the Open Society Institute, MAC Aids Foundation, Gruner+Jahr USA, AOL/Time Warner and UNICEF.
